Hypothesis
Fraternal interest group strength is positively associated with dichotomized 'high-value' (agricultural, pastoral, & advanced horticultural) vs. 'low-value' (hunting-gathering, fishing, mounted hunting, & simple horticultural) subsistence strategies (76).
Note
Fraternal interest group strength is an index of fraternal interest group size, descent ideology which enforces loyalty, and ability to contract explicit marriage bargains, which are all highly intercorrelated.
