Hypothesis
Cross-culturally, providers of allomaternal nursing will tend to be close kin (9).
Note
Close-kin, particularly grandmothers, were the most common sources of allomaternal nursing. Non-kin nursing was observed more often in stratified cultures. Note: no formal statistical test.
